Biography
Sakia Kimura began her entertainment career through the Best Kids Audition circuit. She appeared in BEST KIDS AWARDS 2016, where she was among the children who received scouting interest from talent agencies, and was later selected to perform at Tokyo Creative Kids Festival 2017. She subsequently joined Amuse; when her individual contract with the agency ended in March 2025, Sakia described having spent eight years with Amuse, placing the beginning of her time with the company around 2017.
Before joining Sakura Gakuin, Sakia worked as a child performer and dancer in several television and music projects. Her credits included BS Fuji's Sanrio Characters Pon Pon Jump!, Shimajiro no Wao!'s “Goo Choki Pa de Pumpkin” music video, Perfume's “Let Me Know” music video, and the Licca-chan “Jewel Up Karen-chan” dance video. She later explained that her appearance in “Goo Choki Pa de Pumpkin,” where she worked with Sakura Gakuin graduate Momoko Okazaki, was how she first became familiar with Sakura Gakuin.
On May 6, 2019, Sakia joined Sakura Gakuin as a fifth-grade transfer student alongside Miko Todaka and Neo Sato. From April 2020 she also became a regular performer on NHK E-Tele's BitWorld. During Sakura Gakuin's final 2020 school year she served as the group's Gamushara! Chairperson. She remained a member through Sakura Gakuin The Final ~Yume ni Mukatte~ at Nakano Sunplaza on August 29, 2021.
Following Sakura Gakuin, Sakia continued developing as a performer through AMUSE CAMP α, where she was introduced as one of the project's members in July 2022. In January 2023 she appeared alongside Miko Todaka and Kokona Kato in the parallel-world presentation connected to BABYMETAL RETURNS – THE OTHER ONE, followed by another appearance at BABYMETAL BEGINS – THE OTHER ONE in April.
The project was formally introduced as METALVERSE later in 2023. Its first officially announced appearance took place at SUMMER SONIC Tokyo on August 20, followed by the first standalone events, METALVERSE#1 – UNBOXING, at Spotify O-EAST on August 24 and 25.
Sakia's individual contract with Amuse concluded on March 31, 2025. She subsequently continued as SAKIA within METALVERSE. In 2026, Amuse officially identified the current lineup as MIKO, SAKIA and COCONA. The trio released METALVERSE's first official digital single, “GIZA,” and performed the sold-out METALVERSE#3 – GARDEN OF EDEN.
