Biography

Miko Todaka was born on August 14, 2006, in Hiroshima Prefecture. She began learning dance at the age of five, initially studying hip-hop and later jazz and other styles. In 2016 she entered Actors School Hiroshima (ASH) as a member of its 35th generation. During her time at the school she performed in the B class and became a member of the school unit MAX♡GIRLS. In 2018 she was selected for Kakumei Shoujo, a special ASH unit formed for Aidoru Matsuri 2018. At the time, Miko described her goal as becoming an artist who could both sing and dance.

On May 6, 2019, Miko joined Sakura Gakuin as a first-year middle-school transfer student alongside Neo Sato and Sakia Kimura, beginning her career with Amuse. She continued to make occasional appearances with ASH before formally graduating from the school following its 2019 AUTUMN ACT on September 23. During Sakura Gakuin’s final school year, Miko was appointed the group’s third Performance Chairperson. She remained a member until Sakura Gakuin ended its activities with Sakura Gakuin The Final ~Yume ni Mukatte~ at Nakano Sunplaza on August 29, 2021.

After Sakura Gakuin, Miko remained with Amuse and continued her development as a singer and dancer. In late 2021 she appeared in promotional dance examples for Amuse’s OYM Workshop Audition. In January 2023 she appeared in the parallel-world performance of “Doki Doki ☆ Morning” at BABYMETAL RETURNS – THE OTHER ONE, followed by another parallel-world appearance during “KARATE” at BABYMETAL BEGINS – THE OTHER ONE in April.

METALVERSE was formally introduced as a project later in 2023. Miko appeared as its primary vocalist at SUMMER SONIC Tokyo on August 20 and at the project’s first standalone shows, METALVERSE#1 – UNBOXING, on August 24 and 25. She continued fronting METALVERSE through METALVERSE#2 – THE END OF THE INNOCENCE, FOX_FEST and the project’s 2025 opening-act appearances for BABYMETAL in Japan and Asia.

In 2026, METALVERSE officially identified its current members as MIKO, SAKIA and COCONA. Miko fronts the trio on its first official digital single “GIZA” and through the METALVERSE VΛND PROJECT era, including METALVERSE#3 – GARDEN OF EDEN and the group’s 2026 festival and live appearances.
